Dance Photographs by Carlo Cruz: B-Boys & Lux Aeterna

Carlo Cruz, a photographer based in Los Angeles, was recently featured in Visual News where I first encountered his startling photos of b-boys and searing images of homeless men. Cruz started photographing breakdancers when his cousin needed a still photographer for his b-boy documentary. Now he just hits the streets with dancers like Losis, pictured above outside LA's MOCA, and they make magic!

Carlo has also photographed the fusion dance group Lux Aeterna, directed by Jacob "Kujo" Lyons, in a series of photographs featuring their aerial work. The above photo from Lux Aeterna's Totem is a combination of 3 images.

Carlo was kind enough to share the two photos above with All World Dance readers. Thanks!
