Mante Talbert, a member of Cali Swag District known as M-Bone, was murdered in a drive-by shooting on Sunday in Inglewood, California.

Cali Swag District was best known for their huge 2010 hit, Teach Me How To Dougie, which was based on a dance created by old school hip hop star Doug E. Fresh.

This incident gives a chilling edge to the lyrics in the song:

"Dude's love to hate, so they try to shoot me."

In fact, the rumor mill is now churning out the possibility that M-Bone was killed by someone jealous of his success. Given the notorious no-snitching culture prized by many in hip hop, we may never know the true tale.
